Drones are small remotely piloted aircraft, I .e. they are unmanned aircraft. They look like helicopters or reconnaissance planes. There is no doubt that one of their advantages is that they can be used for multiple purposes. Miniaturization allows drones to fit inside a rucksack or even on the palm of your hand, which makes them our best allies in different situations: they can monitor crops, detect water leaks, monitor endangered species, look for people in emergencies, help predict the weather, speed up grid inspection and maintenance tasks, and extend working hours, among other things.

Different drones can travel different heights and distances. Very close drones are typically capable of traveling three miles and are mostly used by amateurs. The range of the short-range drone is about 30 miles. Short-range drones can travel up to 90 miles and are primarily used for espionage and intelligence gathering. The medium-sized drone has a range of 400 miles and can be used for intelligence gathering, scientific research and meteorological research. The longest-range UAVs are called "endurance" UAVs, which have the ability to exceed 400 miles of range and reach up to 3,000 feet.

Since drones can be controlled remotely and can fly at different distances and altitudes, they are ideal candidates for the world's toughest tasks. They can be found assisting in the search for survivors in the aftermath of hurricanes, deterring law enforcement and military services in horrific situations, and advancing scientific research in some of the most extreme climates on Earth. Drones have even entered our homes as an entertainment for amateurs and an important tool for photographers.
